so my engine prob needs rebuilding so im thinking of going with a stroker kit, i have some questions about it, do they come as a kit that will go right into the stock block? cuz i'm prob going to need to get mine bored out, will i need a different kit then? since the engines out i want to put in a dif cam will i need to have special heads with a stroker kit and a cam? any help would be great, like what kit to use what problems i could run into thanks guys
Well stroker kits come balanced or unbalanced. Unbalanced tend to be cheaper..
You can use a stock bore or a bored motor.
Ie: 327/342 stock bore
331/347 is a stroker .030 over.
No need for special heads or cam. You could use stock if you wanted although I wouldn't recommend it.
Your gonna want to decide what heads you want to use so when you order you can get the right pistons tpo work with the heads.
You will also want to decide if you want a dished piston or flat.
If you stay n/a I would recommend a flat top, dishes with boost or spray.
You can also just buy a shortblock, that might be easier.
