Well stroker kits come balanced or unbalanced. Unbalanced tend to be cheaper..

You can use a stock bore or a bored motor.

Ie: 327/342 stock bore

331/347 is a stroker .030 over.

No need for special heads or cam. You could use stock if you wanted although I wouldn't recommend it.

Your gonna want to decide what heads you want to use so when you order you can get the right pistons tpo work with the heads.

You will also want to decide if you want a dished piston or flat.

If you stay n/a I would recommend a flat top, dishes with boost or spray.

You can also just buy a shortblock, that might be easier.

Not necessarily..keep in mind all it takes/costs to have a shortblock.

You can get a 331/347 shortblock from dss or chp for around $2000

I believe fordstrokers.com has a deal right now for a 331/347 for $1800 or so.

yup good ol over priced parts lol, so ill be ripping the motor out and slowly rebuilding it, with a stroker 331, what i've been told is that a 347 is a bit much for the stock block so ill keep it at 331, or is this going to kill the block as well?

if youre worried about shipping and all that, have it shipped to a nearby US address... theres some companies down the west coast here that offer a mailing address for anyone whos willing to pay the SMALL surcharge... (its nothing)

if i dont do a stroker cuz money is tight right now but i want my car running so i was looking at some kits from summit,  how are these kits, if the pistons are .030" over sized that means i need to get my blocked honed out .030 aswell right so that would make me have a 306 then?

not bad of a kit, i prefer scat personally but to each there own. ive never heard of any problems with FM. Yes it would be 306.
Also what are youre plans for the engine? This would be the time to decide if you want to go forged internals... but it would be significantly more expensive... youll be lookin at probe, scat etc...

this is going to be my DD a stroker would be cool but if i did a 306 i could throw a h/c/i on their if i did the stroke it would be stock h/c/i, the FM makes a forged piston kit aswell, i just want to make 300+hp and i should be fine with that, 400 would be cool but i dont know how great that would be with the 4.10s
