What about a Kenne Bell supercharger? I don't know about the 5.0 kits, but the 4.6 kits come with a tune for your car and can easily be installed by yourself.

So general idea is that a FMU with supercharger/stock engine is fine as long as you don't start messing with MAF and injector size. What about when you trow some better breathing heads/intake in the mix? to want point could you get away with the FMU and stock MAF/19's?

first off 19lb injectors wont get you too far so don't do it if you are wanting a huge gain. 42lb injectors are what most people recommend when going supercharger (recommend) anything that is going to adjust your a/f mixture can usually be controlled by the ecu but it's a wise decision to watch it with an a/f gauge (not a digital one, an actual o2 sensor a/f gauge) the stock maf and 19's aren't going very far in a s/c world since s/c require more fuel than say a t/c... either way if you can't get a tune for it then i'd recommend waiting till you can. ... imho that is, i'd hate to see you spend a lot of money and not be satisfied with what you have.

throw some nitrous on it and call it a day

The kenne bell kit for the 5.0 doesnt come with a tune from KB. Those are the kits they let you get an aftermarket tune because there are so many different combos for them. Running without a tune, there like a 50/50 chance of either the car running good, or it running like crap. I think your best option would be to choose a place to work with, and a "combo" from them, with a chip that would best match it.

you can always get like a PMS kit or something along that and tune it yourself, but there are some big risks there was an article in the how-to about tuning yourself and all you really need is a way to datalog and then you could have someone mail order tune for you
