So i was doin some research and comparing v6 engine parts to 5.0 engine parts, and i have found out that v6s are VERY expensive. I think this is only becuase of the low availablitly of shops producing parts. So my dad calls the house one day while hes in the land down under and i tell him what i was doin. Near the end on the conversation i asked him what he thought about me, him, and some local mustang club members do a 5.0 swap on my car; he thinks about it and he suggests that i find a parts car (which i will most deffinately do).

It's pretty straightforward honestly. A parts car is the best route, so you get all the nickel and dime stuff.

Honestly not a whole lot of difference in gas mileage between the V8's and V6's.

You will get good mileage with a properly tuned carb.

agreed, a little holley 600 would be perfect for a street car with a mostly stock motor, and it would haul some booty when it hit secondarys :eek:uttahere:

go carb if you wanna take a step back into the stone age. efi can make just as much power and be better with gas mileage. although its not as "user" friendly.

I would go for it, and you would def need a parts car for it.

no offense, but almost anything is an upgrade from the v6's

Lol, pretty much sums up my opinion. But, honestly, a proper carb'd sytem will run as good as EFi, but if you go that route, pray they dont have, or never enact smog laws in your area.

I thought about doing a swap to a 02 gt motor, but keeping this car as a daily driver is crucial if I ever want to have another cobra to play with :D

carb's are far from the stoneage. Unless you've ridden in an old school, hogged out, bad to the bone car, you have no idea what a REAL carb'd car feels like. It will pull harder then any EFI car anyday
