go carb if you wanna take a step back into the stone age. efi can make just as much power and be better with gas mileage. although its not as "user" friendly.

Lol, pretty much sums up my opinion. But, honestly, a proper carb'd sytem will run as good as EFi, but if you go that route, pray they dont have, or never enact smog laws in your area.

carb's are far from the stoneage. Unless you've ridden in an old school, hogged out, bad to the bone car, you have no idea what a REAL carb'd car feels like. It will pull harder then any EFI car anyday

Me? I've been around, I know how to work carb's and hor they work.

To pull an EFI off in favor of a carb is just plain goofy though, EFI= brain dead easy. Turn the key and go.

take a 5.0, bone stock with efi, run it with the same exact setup. Then take it and drop on a simple 4 barrel intake and a stock holley 600 off a early gt, like an 85. The carb'd car will out run it flat out, if efi was so much better, then why do race cars run carb's :dunno: not hating on efi, i am in fact a fuel injection junkie, and prefer to hook my laptop up to my GT and ride on. Still, the worst crap about efi is that a code thrown for anything gives you a list of alot of parts to replace or test, where as if the cars not running right on a carb'd car, well you pretty much need either a carb or to rebuild it/tweak it. :hammer:

well those race cars that run like crazy have shitty gas mileage... I have a 383 s10 with a carb so I think my opinion goes both ways. Carbs are good for power but efi is just as good. If you know how to tune it. But with efi you won't have to worry about trying to start it on a cold morning or it flooding. I just think efi has a bunhc of advantages over carbs. BUt carbs will always be around because they work. but to me its an old technology when you can get just as good results with efi. Even though efi could mean more headaches.
