I don't think it would look very good, man. Though I admit I haven't seen any pictures. My reverse lights still work pretty good with the whole lenses tinted.

its not really much about the use of them as it is the looks. But the use of them could be a issue too now that i think about it considering that i have five percent all around

I smoked mine and left the reverse lights clear...I like it better than all smoked (I've had both). I think it keeps the lights looking stock just darker:

doesn't look bad, but then doesn't look good? The point of smoking your lenses is specifically for looks at the price of performance. If you are gonna smoke it, smoke it.

I have not had problems wit mine smoked and windows tinted, but then I installed a back up camera with night vision.

Not if you do it correctly...they will light up just as bright as before. Personally I think it looks better than all black...I also like them smoked better than blacked out.

PLEASE...if you do tint your lenses...polish them, don't leave them flat black...nothing looks worse than a cheap tailight tint job :confused1:

I think you should not do it. I feel that tinted tails is a safety hazard. During the day it is very difficult to see when the brake lights come on, especially if it bright sunlight. I almost rear ended a guy with tinted tails.

normal tail lights are hard to see in bright sunlight... like Jon said as long as they aren't really dark they light up just like normal.

all you have to do is use the right stuff and cover it with a good clearcoat. I went to a large auto paint supply store and told them what I was doing and asked for the VHT. They said that it was junk and to use a black candy paint they recomended that was good on plastic. I did 3 light coats to get the color I wanted and then the clearcoat that they also recomended. I think it was less then $20 for both and over 2 yrs later they still look like new.
