Teksid block build

So after ordering a Tork Tech kit to run the Eaton on my 2v i've come to the realization that it would be a waste of time and money to put that on my tired 2v motor. So, i'm looking at building a motor now with a Teksid base and having forged internals and my worked over 2v heads put on it.

asking for advice on this block for sale close to me. has damage but i cant tell if its a manageable repair for a machine shop or if i should keep looking? Any comments?

Is that putting and corrosion at the top of the liner?

I think its damage from detonation or something. I'm wondering if that cylinder will need to be sleeved, then is it worth messing with? the guy told me he'd sell it for $200

short blocks or just a bare block? I mean if you are willing to make a deal that's right...

They’re short blocks but they’re going to need machining.

i'd only want the block and the crank. I'm planning on using the boss rods and some forged pistons. I have a machine shop lined up to check over the block and assemble/balance the rotating assembly. Making any trips to Colorado in the near future? lol.

teksid or wap. depends how much you want to make. @lwarrior1016 knows a thing or 2 about building those motors

Nah, and shipping would be hovering between 350-400+

edit: I do have a buddy coming down from Colorado around the 9th and we might be able to persuade him to carry it back.
