Temp guage not working.

So I was having issues with my thermostat housing screws and my friend came over and was helping me and broke the temp sensor that is attached to the thermostat housing. I've tried 2 new sensors and both not working. Tonight I just found out there is a 2nd sensor. They both look the same and have 2 pin connectors. My question is. That are those 2 sensors the same or different. Because I'm confused why non of the sensors are working. And it was working before he broke it.

I always thought there was a single 2-pin sensor for the computer to read so that it can activate cooling fan, and that there is a single-pin sensor for the coolant gauge. Not so with your car?

No both of then are 2 pin connectors

Rock Auto might have the exact part numbers. Try there first.
