I am working on a daily driver, too. It will keep my 95 & my friend's 65. Her dad bought it new. It has been parked since '96, though!! I asked her to ask her dad if I could use it for my DD. She will buy everything to get it running. I am kind of overseeing it. I'm going to do a before & after like I did on my 95.

The carport is 20'x21'. 7' tall because of my vert. I paid $1522 for it & the sides. I'm adding the 'gables' next month. It will run me $431.60. I wanted it when I bought it, just could not afford it. Here is who I bought it from.

I got an A Frame because I think they look better. The other look not finished, to me. Mine is clay with charcoal trim. I am adding lights & power next month. Have to do it as I can afford to. I love it so far!!

3 guys showed up @ like 12:00. It was finished by like 1:09. Took 69 minutes!

EastBayStang98, you mean like what I'll have done? Like exact stuff? I wanted to modernize it. Thankfully she does as well. There are NO brakes!! Freaked me the f out! I was only being pushed about 3 feet. I just got some stuff from TC shows. Here's what I made for myself.
?Fog Light Bar!!!!
?Convert Disc Brakes, Dual Master Cylinder
?Vacuum Lines!!
?Flush Gas
?Flush Radiator
?Flush Everything
?Aligned!!!
?Classic A/C, Vintage Air
?Tilt Steering Column
flamingriver.com
?Convert/Modern Struts
?Electronic Distributor
?New Carb ?/Gasket & Thermal Spacer
?K&N Filter
?Hi Flow/Volume Fuel Pump
?Hi Volume Water Pump
?Electric Fan
?Alum Dual Plane Intake Manifold

Again, I don't really know much of anything!! Know idea if this will go on.

Re: Here is my new carport!!

From 6th through my soph year, I was a huge band geek! I was amazing @ any sport, I might have been better with my band stuff? At our tiny school, the 8th grade marched with the HS band. The chick was a soph. She was cute as hell, plus she drove a 65 Mustang!! She was it for me. We were the best of friends for I guess 2 years, After she graduated, the band director left. I found out how good I was @ sports, so I quit band. Once she grad, she went off to college. I stayed busy as did she, we stopped being such good friends. She tells me now she saw me @ the bank I worked @ in '99, I don't remember that.

I joined Facebook to find a kid I went to traumatic brain injury therapy with. She found me on there, been talking since. Once we got through the 'how are you' crap, I asked about her old car! I didn't know much about it, turns out. It took me about 3 days to come up with that idea of me restoring it. Stuff takes that long to sink in now, @ least it does come!!! See ya!!

Re: Here is my new carport!!

word of warning about the carport. they are very nice but if you live in a windy area they can become unstable. i've seen first hand one of these car ports crack a cinderblock wall to a building it was next to. for real the whole wall was being pushed a good 6 inches and the car port was about a foot away.

just a heads up. if yours in cemented in then it should be fine.

Re: Here is my new carport!!

Thought about that. It's not bad where I live, the wind. I should be OK, thanks though!! My friend has had pretty much the same for 5 years. Mine has the sides, so I think, it should be better.

Re: Here is my new carport!!

the sides are what catch the wind. it should not be a problem as long as you dont get big gusts of it.

where i was living in southern Idaho we had wind storms of 40+mph monthly so when a bad one hit we knew to stay out of the garage.

funny thing is they got the carport to store there rv a boat a 63 short box gmc and a shelby glhs. after the carport almost took out the garage, my friend wanted to store his 95 v6 swapped 306 in the carport and his dad wanted his 36 packard coupe in there too.

She's alive!!!!!

Bobby got all the full tune-up stuff put on & it fired right off! Like my 95 does. Took some pics of the motor. Breather & stuff is off b/c he was tinkering with the carb.

Videos I did, sucks!!

Bobby got the brakes working good enough so I could take it around the block. Never really got faster than a slow crawl. Felt good though!!

After he got it running, he lowered the idle. Sounds just much better now

I have a 66 coupe in that same paint scheme. But mine came with the straight 6.

Keep us posted on the revival
