i finally get this car runnin right and got it dyno tuned and bam im at the track to see what i can get and the MF! fell on its face. i was in the soap box and started to get my tires sticky when i noticed the car just suddenly started running like shyt. i left the tree and as soon as i hit 3krpm it fell on its face. now i drove this car for four days without problems and even did a 2nd gear burnout in a parking lot without issues. so ill slowly explain everything from the start.


from 1k to 2k its fine as soon as it hits 3- 3500rpms under load (meaning car is moving) it bogs so bad that i start to slow down.

at part trottle it does the same cept at like 4k rpms.

any advice?

did you happen to buy a cheap MAF? most aftermarket MAFs are slightlty less accurate than ford equipment, buy others are just a piece of crap that make your ECU panic when not at WOT. they screw up the load calculations horribly

mods. everything stock except f303 cam 21lb injectors bbk shorties o/r xpipe no name mufflers 3.55 gears cobra transmission king cobra clutch taken it to the same shop that did my tune see what they have to say.

Why did you put in 21 lb injectors? 19's are plenty for what you have. Was the 21 a typo? You really wouldn't benefit much from a tune with relatively minimal mods. Money would have been better spent elsewhere.

my car did the same exact thing when i first got it, it was the maf. swapped it out and it runs like a champ ever since

ok here is the deal with the 21 injectors, they were already on there when i got the car thats why, trust me i know 19 is enough. anyway now that i have daylight i just drove it and of course the same thing is going on. i prayed to the car gods with no luck lol. anyway i was under the hood and yanked the throttle wot and watched my fp and saw it drop to 20psi, bad no no since vacum stops suck and should allow fp to go up. so now i know its a fuel issue now to figure out was is causing the issue, im fixin to go outside right this very second and un plug the vacum line........5min ok i unplug the vacum and of course fp jump 12 psi anybody else got any ideas btw the fuel pump is only a week and half old if that.

im guessing since the fuel pump was just replaced and everything was going great then suddenly it craped out im guessing fuel filter since fuel pressure is droping. i can hear the fuel pump running and everything. any feedback?

filter is an easy and cheap fix. i would try that.

well the new news is that the car is fixed.....it was the fuel filter, i dumped some of the fuel out of the filter and it flat out looked like dirty water when i dumbed the inlet side when i dumped the out side it was clean so im guessing it was clogged.

While dyno tuning it, did the shop put the spout connector back in?
