My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in 2009. At the point when the cancer was discovered it was assumed that he already had cancer for quite some time. My dad was a very strong man, he never missed work! It didn't matter how sick he may have been. So the doctor's had assumed that he possibly had the cancer as early as 2006. The Doctor's tried everything possible to save his life, then to prolong it. Once he was told there was nothing else that could be done, he was given 3-6 months to live... He passed away on March 25 2011. :crybaby2: Not a day since March 25th have I not thought about my dad or been able to hold back a tear. :crybaby2:
My dad was never a presumptuous person who felt the need to show off! he had several 60's era Mustang's which is where I developed my love for the Pony car! But being the man that he was putting family always ahead of himself, he never kept his beloved Pony cars long, it was always something, some reason why he always had to get rid of them. :dontknow: So it came as no surprise when in early 2000 he was finally able to consider himself financially stable, he went to a Dodge dealership and got on a waiting list
for the soon to be released PtCruiser (yup they had a waiting list.) :confused1: A few months later he went and picked up his NEW 2001 Chrysler Pt Cruiser Limited Edition. It was his pride and joy! Not once until he fell ill did I ever see the car dirty, even during the winter months! the car was left to me and it now has 77.000 miles and a few small issues that need to be addressed, since it became neglected when my dad stopped driving. I have been slowly taking care of all the little things that go wrong on a car that is 10 years old! and have added a few items that I know my dad would have liked on his beloved cruiser!
I know it's not much too look at! or a stang I just wanted to share...
