I haven't bought it or looked at it yet. lol
But right now this is one that interests me most. I kinda like the body line camelon paint.

Maybe it's just me but something just doesn't sound right on that Vid. Sounds like the clutch was slipping into 2nd gear. Also sounds like he tried to get on it and it just didn't go as it should.

Edit:

Also i thought you wanted the joy of building a car?

Re: Looking at a built 95! Come in

Unless I missed something. There is no way i would ever pay that much for a mustang with a stroked stock block.. That block is eventually going to crack.. even a mexican block. U are just rolling the dice every time you lay the hammer down.

So unless that block says Boss, Dart, man-o-war and etc.. steer clear if he doesnt come down a few grand. If you are in love with the outside and must have it. get him down.

I bet there are better deals to be had.. I paid about $1400 for a very clean running car.

Edit: to add to what WIN said. If u want a project then look for something else. It would be a shame to spend so much on a car thats going to be a project.

Yeah I'm with Win, I thought u wanted a car to build. That SN is mostly done imo, depending how much you want to change which sounds like not much. I think it looks good, the paint is a cool touch and overall the car looks good but it doesn't sound like what you wanted.

That vid makes it seem like it's a dog below XXXX rpm's then it's like it just comes to life. Also i would take a considerable amount off for that Whine of a T5. Pretty bad when you can hear it over the motor and exhaust.

Re: Looking at a built 95! Come in

I know about the blocks and how they are prone to cracking, but it's not like I would throw 15 pounds of boost at it either. If I did boost it, I would run 5lbs, maybe 6 max. This car has 66,xxx original miles. And less than 3k on the build. I don't know if you guys read that or not.

BUT.
I DO want a car to build. But there are simply NO 5.0 sn95's around here in my area (that are 5speed's and or a coupe.) I would love to find a sound running 5.0 for 1500-2k. And I thought about the notch but realized its just not me. Sure this car is done. But its just a possibility, never once said. "Hey im going to so buy this 95"

But I thought about it, the car stock with the mileage it has is worth 4900. And by the time I did ALL of the things he has done to this one. It would be well more than what I would have paid. His paint job alone cost over 3k and he has all the invoices on the build. Including the paint job, machine work, parts, and even the engine dyno graph.

I don't know I just feel like I'm out of options...

It's all your money in the End. It just seems like maybe you need to lay back for a little bit. You will find the one you want just be patient with it.

The reason i made my comments was b/c i would hate to see you drive 3 hours there and see the things i am noticing in the video. Then 3 hours back and have nothing to show for it.

Have you looked at this one?/

I mean i would sell you my car i just don't think i could give it up.

Re: Looking at a built 95! Come in

Yeah, I seen the one in Chesapeake, and I looked at it to. It was complete SH*T. The car thumped when you put it into gear, and it bogged down when you got it up to about 4500k. Needed a rear end re-build and the all new suspension. It had rust spots on the surface, and I didn't even look below the car. The interior looked like someone sharted all over the seats. lol

He wouldn't go below 1000.

You really think that is a transmission whine in the video?
He could have been easing into the acceleration as far as it "opening" up.

I appreciate you trying to help me out. I know you look on cl just as much as I do. So if you run across anything lmk!

If u boost that motor- Its more then definitely going to crack.. I meant as of right now even he is rolling the dice when he lays the hammer down.

Maybe thats why he isnt really getting on the gas in the video?

he is trying to sell it, not repair it.. And thats either a transmission whine or a crappy camera.

Buy a car thats already built the way you want it, it will cost you so much less. People are giving away cars these days. Hell, some guy just sold a cobra on svtp for 6000 with a built motor, t-trim, magnum t56, and a bunch of other stuff because he needed a quick sale. The deals are out there if you have cash and can do some traveling.

The block is really that shitty? To just crack not even boosted?
I don't think its transmission whine, its hard to tell.

^ I know I seen that. So crazy...

Re: Looking at a built 95! Come in

the block really isn't that shitty, if it is prepped right and if the tune is there...its more tune than anything that will destroy the engine. i have a buddy with just over 525 rwhp stock block and he's keeping it there for fear of the block splitting, but thats a twin turbo 331 and is tuned to perfection...plus idk about you but 500 flywheel hp is PLENTY for a fun street car...
