ok, so i've been looking into getting headers when i get my other engine situations worked out. i see alot of short vs. longtube. on a n/a motor, does it really matter, & why? i'm like alot of you in that price has a big factor, but, again, short vs long...people keep using the same "fixing up a 302" mentality on the 4.6. different creature. so i was hoping some of you guys could clear up this header debate please. thanks for your input...

A set of Ford Racing Shorts will get you all of 2-3rwhp.... big disappointment to us 4.6 guys after years of ok gains on 5.0's. LT's are much better with easy 15rwhp gains but if you are like me and have a lowered car on NJ roads LT's are a gamble i won't take.

I'm going to try the BBK Shorts when i pull my engine apart, they have longer tubes than the FRPP and are close to being equal length shorts.

Add a few HP to them when boosting....

Im thinking of going with the BBK Shorties just to avoid the hassle.

Im also ignorant to the real problems longtubes present but everyone i ask says they make the best power, is it true you have to loosen them in order to remove the trans and do clutch work?
