Well it has finally warmed up enough(it was 40 tonight) to start doing my heads and cam. So far I have gotten the passenger side completely off and am going to have to wait till morning to get a pulley remover from work to do the drivers side. Tearing it down I have found some interesting things and ran into a few problems. First. I broke the top bolt on the water pump off. No biggy really since it is on the timing cover and I am removing that for the cam. But im worried about more bolt breaking in the block. Makes me not even want to do the cam. What kind of chance do I have on doing this without breaking something? Will someone tell me to quick being a pussy and do it......

Now the interesting stuff When I removed the head I noticed that these is no casting that says its and e7 head. I thought most said E7TE or something similar. I have Nothing. It does have ford cast into it though. So what are they?

Second of all, I know this isnt the stock motor. Previous owner let the harmonic balancer go bad and it popped the motor. When I was looking at the pistons i noticed that they all say .030 which would mean this is a 302 bored 30 over right??? They also had a part number on them that i will post up tommorow. But it is 2am here and im going to take a nap. Thanks for the help guys.

Yes you are being a sissy! So loosen up your panties Nancy and get it done! Second 0.030 is bored 30 over, you are correct! The heads, well... I'm not sure where to look for the casting number. So you're saying its not stamped with a number at all?

Well i have the new cam in and now im working on cleaning up and paintings some stuff before it goes back together. The hardest part so far is cleaning the gasket surfaces, especially the timing over and water pump. Im thinking about just waiting for my next paycheck and buying a new timing cover and water pump;since I already have a broken bolt in the timing cover.

The cam was actually easy. Came right out and went right back in, no problems. If you can do heads you can do the cam. I couldnt believe how much slop was in my timing chain compared to the new one I put on.

Lastly the combo is Ported e7 heads, e cam, 1.7 RR, and a Cobra intake. I have a build thread going if you want to check it out.
