As some of you know i recently sold my Stang in hopes of getting an '03 Cobra, plans fell through sadly but i did end up with one of my favorite cars. A '94 3000GT VR-4 (the rarest color 1 of 52 in Pearl Yellow Metallic) I know it's not a mustang, but it is twice as fast as my old car. On race gas it made 680AWHP! :headbang: I've down tuned it to around 450AWHP for street use on 93 octane. As far as future plans go, i purchased a MINT set of black leather seats that i am swapping in, also going to get gunmetal Saleen rims for it (they look sooooo sexy with them) and i'll prob do a few other things here and there.

now for the pics!

Not my favorite color, but they do make some damn good power and they're AWD

How are you getting that kind of power out of thing? I'm assuming it's not stock internals... My brother-in-law has the regular 3000GT and it's :snore:...

Interesting...I always thought they were pretty cool cars...this one looks a little gawdy IMO, but the power is awesome. Lets see some videos of this beast!

the VR-4 and regular 3000gt's are totally different, the VR-4 is a 320HP DOHC V6 twin turbo 6-speed with AWD, the base model is a 162HP SOHC V6 FWD, and the SL is a 222HP DOHC V6 FWD. Yes my internals are built, i also have Ported and Clipped EVO III Big 16g turbos with full bolt-ons and a supporting fuel system. There are actually a few VR-4's making over 1000AWHP http://www.nw3s.net/racing/index.htm http://www.streetfire.net/video/1100-horse-power-mitsubishi-3000-gt-dyno_194285.htm.

Yeah i thought the color was a little to flashy for me at first, but it has grown on me, and it's really rare, as far as the exterior goes it's totally stock besides the carbon-fiber hood. i'll try and get some videos up soon!

as far as drive-train, it's built for more than i even need so i'm gonna leave that alone haha. As far as looks, i'd like to get a set of gunmetal Saleen rims for it, they fit perfect and look amazing. i'd also like to possibly do a '99 conversion on it. i just picked up a set of Black leather for it as well, so i'll be swapping that in the nest week or so

Totally do the swap. I like the front ends 10x better on the newer ones

yeah, that's my plan. They look amazing with the '99 front end. Only problem is the paint is ridiculously expensive :/

These have always been one of my favorite cars. Although they were quite heavy from the factory they can be made to be killer as you already mentioned. I would say de-rice it but it sounds like you already have that planned.

Congrats on the car. I have a white 93 3000GT (other than my Saleen Speedster clone) and am also in CT.

Be sure to join 3Si.org and look in the 3SI New England Section for meets!
