And for another twist, you could get your Y2ks powder coated black or somthing. You dont see that too often. But I dont know if you could justify it after spending more on the chrome.
I still have the Y2Ks - no cost there. But want to move away from all black.

they both look great.

Chrome Y2K's on a black mustang just look awsome though.
Thanks. Black & chrome is a classic look that stands-the-test-of-time.

hmmm, your car is the first one i like w/ those fender flares, gives it a more aggressive attitude. I think u could pull the wingless look off if you lowered the car more but I've always thought the Steeda wing was pretty rad looking.

PS. I like the 00Rs a LOT better than the FR500s.

Never been the biggest fan of FR's for my car. My buddy loves them!! He's had 2 Cobras, each had chrome FR's. Looks great all cleaned up, though!! I love black rims. I don't like the 1/2 polished & 1/2 black. Again, not on my car. I love the Y2K's, I'd buy them for my car, right away!!

I love the FR500s, but I think the 00Rs go better with the headlights and the glaring chrome pony.

If you had smoked headlights, I'd say the FR500s, but I'd go with the Rs with your current setup.

I always wondered how an SN95 would look with only fender flares on the rears and REALLY wide tires to fill out the flare...

I went with the Steeda because:
- I liked it
- I rarely seen them on other Stangs, none at all out here

I thought about buying an S351 early on in my search process. Wheels & wings are tough choices. My feelings are that, in the end, you buy something that YOU LIKE you can't go wrong.
I actually bought a set of anthracite FR500s first and didn't like how they looked on my car. Fortunately I was able to find someone local to buy them for close to what I paid for them 2 weeks later and used the money to get the black ones.

I like both sets of wheels. I'll see if I can snap some more pics later. I have a black pony in the grill instead of the chrome one on there now.

Man, I keep going back and forth...

I like the FRs in this pic (It's a little fuzzy, but I think it looks a little more aggresive than the Rs?):

This one too (Taken before I put on the black grill pony):

Seems, in general, most opinions are split right down "party lines"; Chrome/Aluminum wheel owners vs the Black wheel owners, lol. I like this style of black wheel because the aren't all black. Having that distinction between the wheel/tire combo and the body works better for me.

I may just stay with the FRs since they're already on and save up for another set of tires for the Y2ks

im gonna go against the grain... i never really like FR500's, but for some reason, your car pulls it off really well. the FR's look much more aggressive than the Y2k's.

Looks like, in general, it's a split down "party lines". The Chrome wheelers & the Black wheelers, LOL. The main reason I wanted to swap was it seemed that everyone & their Grandma are running some sort of black wheel and some look pretty cheesy. There are tons of imitators out there. And a lot of people that "try too hard". Although there are some really nice wheels out there, I wouldn't put a non-Ford specific wheel or rep wheel on my ride though. I think that's where people can get screwed up.

But the more I thought about it, and the philosophy I have is: if they are the right black wheels, on the right car, then you could pull it off.

I decided to keep the FRs on. I'm glad that I didn't put the Y2Ks on earlier last week like I planned to. It gave me more time to rethink everything.

I think they work on my ride...
