This isnt a FORD motor question etc..but do need help asap

my dads work truck..its a 95 k1500 z71. had a shop rebuild the motor and came back with the heat not working. its basically blowing fresh air. the shop said my dad busted an actuator or something when he changed the heater core. basically were trying to figure out a way to swap the flap that runs the air over the heater core instead of straight outside air so he can get through the winter with it. he left it at the shop all week last week and they did nothing so understandably hes pretty pissed. so if yall got any ideas let em fly..im about to take the dash out i guess lol

Fixed. Now just need a new HVAC box assembly

well at least he has heat now.
trucks, tahoa, and suburban should all be the same

thats what i told him and the shop(sad i had to do that)...told him and them to just keep an eye out for a complete HVAC box and id put it in for him
