Thoughts on Exhast tips...

The exhaust on most of our cars looks good, but lets face it, 99% of SN's have variations of the same thing. I have toyed with doing a side exhaust, but my car sits low for one, and I don't really want to change the side skirts for ones designed for side exhaust. With stock skirts I think side exhaust of any type will look wrong. So that leaves me with the duals out the back. I'm looking at various tips, maybe oval or turn down...something different, but really don't find anything I'm too crazy about. Anybody have any thoughts of something wild and crazy different but still classy?

I'm with sleepn_sn95 on this one. Ever since I've seen his sig and the exhaust, I've really wanted to go with something with a slant that follows the bumper. Looks friggin sick, and I feel it really helps out when going wingless. Pulls it off much better..

I usually don't see many tips that I enjoy. I personally like the slant cut, but non-slant doesn't look bad either. Ever thing of doing dumps? That's always another option.

I have an advantage.. The MAC catback design allows for "tweaking" to taste.. It took a while to get it there and isn't quite there now:

Well, maybe it is :)

No dumps me thinks. This is a DD and I think that will be too much drone on the highway. I do like the look on white95 and slepn's cars.

Go over axle and dump at back of tire on a 45

Just a thought you get the dump look with no drone

I have thought about doing something out the side behind the rear tire...would be something different than the "straight tip" seen on most SN's.

If you go over the axle and just turn it down you can see it just a lil but its different I had it b/c I don't like the look of tips
I just put turndowns on after I swamped the flowmaster 44's for the slp lm2
Sorry I don't have pic the flowmaster where on for 2 days and they had to go

I don't mind tips if they are "classy" looking...and I really like to do something that looks different from the "norm".

I had an idea to poke the tips through the rear bumper cover right behind the rear tires.
Either make a 90 right at the begining of the fuel tank and angle it down a little OR
make it 45 right before the fuel tank and have a extreme slant cut tip so it's more of an oval shape as it pokes through the bumper cover.
I don't thing there's anything in the way down there, it's just a idea at this point.
If you up for custom fabricating, there you go.
Don't forget a piece of stainless around where the tip pokes through.
