I got off work early today so I figured I would mess with the car a little more. I played with the timing and
with the spout out and timing set at 15 deg. the car idles perfect around 7 to 800 rpms the cam sounds awsome no surging at all.
Then plug the spout in and here we go again surging and cant even tell the can is in the car idles smooth around 900 rpms is this normal
I know I need a tune but im just wandering if this is normal or does it sound like my ecm is goin wacko. The car has really never idled right from stock to where it is know ive replaced every sensor iac valve with a ford oem and tps is there a way to check my ecm its throwing no cel

Not all codes will trip the cel with obd1...it wouldn't hurt to check the koeo/koer/memory codes to make sure there isn't anything stored. Do you have aftermarket injectors/maf? It may just be tune related...
