Timing components

I definitely decided on going with cloyes adjustable cam gears, and while i was at it I was going to buy cloyes' timing kit as well, but found this sweet setup from summit, so this looks like it will be my next purchase and wrap up every timing component I will need!:

i wouldnt run an adjustable cam gear if the company paid me to do so.....

go with the adjustable crank gear and degree the cams by grinding cam keys...

Thats what I just picked up. Once they are set just weld the crank gear and it is solid.

Who makes the Cloyes stuff? Is it made in China like everyone else?

I have already considered grinding keyways and talked to people with high hp motors and they said this was perfectly fine so I decided to go the adjustable cam gear way. I was told by multiple race shops to go with cloyes gears so thats why i decided to go with them. thanks for the suggestions though

i prefer asking the racers over the race shops.

register on modularmisfits.com and ask about ANY of the adjustable cam gears. its an unnecessary expense and worry. i'd just hate to see a built motor destroyed because of another cam gear.

I only run FOMOCO timing stuff, and ALWAYS will, also Im running SOLID gears and will grind the keyways. My cams are ground at 108 lsa and will be set to 106 where stock cams are 114
