I saw something that says the one I have now is not very accurate. Just the pen size silver kind. Can someone tell me what that one that is good? I think I saw it on HP TV? Don't really remember that much about it! Thanks!!

I think it had a dial of a thing?

i got one from checkers thats the dial kind. Slime brand... its pretty acurate from what i can tell. I love the thing...

I'm sure the reason why HP TV said that is because those pressure gauges (shaped like a shinny, silver, pencil) are getting cheeper and cheeper... i got 2 of them (buy 1 get 1 free) and they were so cheep that i ended up tearing one apart to use as a tiny cheater bar to turn an alan wrench in a low-space location (valve covers.)

They just have a spring... and in the one that I tore apart, im sure that spring wasnt very reliable after a year or two of steady use... im also sure that it wasnt air-tight anymore.

I personally use one kind of like this:

when im not in my garage (gas station/race track/ etc.)

and one of these when Im in my garage

Craftsman:

slime one that i got from checker: $5.99
craftsman one from sears (air compressor kind): $14.99

:)

Im not a fan of the silver pencil ones. I have a hard time getting good readings out of them. I bought very similar to this..mines blue though.

I always see them at the checkout areas of Auto Zone and Pep Boys., they go for like $2-3 IIRC

I use two, one is a digital read out one and the other is like the ones above except it reads really low PSI's for the track.
