Ok, so, I just picked up my 03 GT Convertible, and the wheels are aftermarket. The rears have 245/45/18s on them, now I know my speedo will be off, but I am getting an SCT tuner to fix that very soon. My main concern is the front. The fronts have 215/55/18s on them. Will I have any issues with that? I am not autocrossing or racing, just cruising around during the summers, and the tires have lots of life, so I don't want to get rid of them. Any input is much appreciated.

If you have abs the difference in tire diameter may set off abs thinking theres wheel spin. And its a little odd that the fronts are taller than the rears.

Yes, it is odd. But, the tires are not stretched In anyway, just a skinnier aftermarket front wheel. and the alignment is dead on, because I got it aligned when I replaced ball joints. Just thought it was odd tire choice on front. but, if it wont affect anything much, I'll roll with it until I need new tires and address then

A picture might help just to see how it looks

Just wondering

Like I said, doesn't look too bad. I may wear these 55s out, and go to 45 or 40s when they need to be replaced.

Yea, I just bought the car, and the person who owned it before me hacked this poor thing together, so I'm just fixing a lot. I'll just put it this way, when i bought it, rear brakes were so bad, the pistons from the calipers were pressing directly on the rotors!

Ok, so I've decided to ditch the wheels, and go with 10 inch wide in the back, and nines in the front. I know the front will be fine, but, will I need to roll my fenders or anything for the rear?

If not dropped then you’ll be fine. But if you decide to drop you’ll need a heat gun and either a Louisville slugger or Eastlake fender roller.
