So as you all know I had my whole clutch assembly done several months ago. However I noticed that my brother never put the dust shield back on which has aloud water from our recently heavy storms to get inside, I'm thinking this is the cause of my squeaky tob. So is it possible to grease up the input shaft to quiet the squeaking?

You must of hit some serious puddles to allow water to spalsh up in there, you can try to grease it but if the TOB is shot its shot but I guess its worth a shot.

We have had some serious rain lately and where I work the rain water collects on the roads pretty heavily.
It shifts fine and all works great it's just squeaky with the clutch out..

is it adjusted properly? if it's not, it could be not disengaging all the way and squeaking.

I have heard of people using spray white lithium on the TOB but have never tried it myself

As far as I know it is how can I check to see if it is?
It went away for almost 2mo and recently came back after it rained.

what bearing did he use??? the FRPP bearing is a strong bearing -- rain wouldnt effect it.

if he used the generic rubbish that comes with the clutch kit... . . .. :-/ WD-40 and prayers? lol.

It was the SVE tob at first then we swapped it for a RAM tob

if he used the RAM bearing it's probably not the water that's your problem. A lot of people run without the dust shields with no issues. General rule is never use the TOB that comes in a clutch kit.

Make sure you use a Ford Racing throwout bearing! Don't go for a cheap one, they are known to fail prematurely.
I tried to tell you back in January bro lol. I had a RAM one and a Ford Racing side by side when I replaced mine; the RAM one seemed inferior in my opinion. I used the Ford Racing unit as most people online also recommend. Hopefully its a simple issue of being adjusted improperly, but I doubt it. Good luck regardless. If you do attempt to grease the tob, be careful not to get any grease on the clutch disc obviously.

Mine sounds like a chipmunk too. But I have a habit of leaving my left leg on the clutch when driving. It stops when I leave my foot off the pedal, but squeaks when I rest it on there. It's a cheapo one.

I was looking at Summit/Jegs at Centerforce, RAM, Mcleod, and Ford units. If mine dies, I'll probably spend some cash and get a nice one.

Ah see mine does it when my foot isn't on the clutch, put the slightest bit of pressure on the tob and it goes away
