tool for the maf

where do you get the tool that opens the maf. can you get it at the hardware store or is it a special order?

you mean to take the 2 screws out of it??? yea you can get them from any hardware store.. they come in those cheap screwdriver kits... I think theyre called security bits or tamper proof or somthing like that...

they are called tamper proof torx bits. i just checked the size of one in the shop and it was a T20 bit. should be able to order one or a set from sears, or chase a Snap-on to Mac, Matco tool truck down. probably go to those tool manufactuers websites and order the size you need

You can also pick up a set of the bits from any Autozone or Advance Auto parts store. Sears sells a little set that has like 20 or 25 different bits in it for like $15.00 and the torx bits are the tamper proof type. Its in a little red or black plastic holder that is about the size of a pack of smokes, has all sorts of phillips, straight blade, hex head and torx bits in it.
