Today i got my first PI 1/4mile runs in and man was it hot, it was in the upper 80s with around 90% humidity, so not the best for drag racing. I have done 1/8th mile before and my best previous 1/8th was a 9.0. Today was just too hot to get any good runs in, ill post my three best. 3rd Best 60' ... 2.190 330 ... 6.139 1/8 ... 9.313 MPH ... 78.01 1000 ... 12.032 1/4 ... 14.331 MPH ... 100.14 2nd Best 60' ... 2.127 330 ... 6.076 1/8 ... 9.258 MPH ... 77.89 1000 ... 12.002 1/4 ... 14.310 MPH ... 99.72 Best 60' ... 2.230 330 ... 6.131 1/8 ... 9.288 MPH ... 78.28 1000 ... 12.013 1/4 ... 14.306 MPH ... 100.17 I ran 12 times and tried launching a bunch of different ways but i couldnt get my 60' down to the 2.0 that i had last time. I know the cars got 13s in it easy just gotta wait for the right weather. yeah it looks like everyone was runnin slow that day. you might be deep into the 13s you never know :dunno:
I think a 13.7 isnt to far out of the picture for me, ill be going again when ever i find a nice cool day.
I need to get back to the track with my new X-pipe. I bet I could pull off some 14.3s with my pushrod anchor.
I think there is some kind of mathematical conversion chart to adjust your 1/4 and 1/8 times for 70 degree weather with 50% humidity, Car and Driver does it, there's always some kind of special little note that says (times adjusted for standard conditions) or something like that. See if you can find it, I'd be interested to see what you're really onto.
here's a conversion calculator, you just have to find out what the weather was the day you raced. http://www.modulardepot.com/density.php
Well i did that little conversion calculator and at 90% humidity and 90degrees the corrected time is 13.83 at 103.62mph. I dont think id trap that high but i still think i can run 13s. My friends TAs best time the other day was a 13.79 at 100.5 and his best in better conditions is 13.4 at 101, and with the conversion on his time it came up as a 13.3 at 103, so not to far off. Still cool.
well these calculators dont take into consideration, driver error, track conditions, etc. DAMN, i cant wait to get my car back and go to the track!!!
