Nice i'm going to an 1/8 mile track tommorow... got to do some weight reduction tommorow lol. Everything out trunk, pass seat gone, and air in tires, and passengers end link off... hope it does pretty good. I can't remember what these cars do in the 1/8th but what do you guys think?

Low 10s... :wall:

nah, prolly in the 9s, easy...assuming your car is running better than mine, and you can drive better than me(not to difficult).

Well I'm back. The best of the day was the very first run b/c it was cooler then... every other run even after setting with the hood up it was still hot as hell.

Reaction: .671
60 ft: 2.100
E.T. : 9.397
MPH : 75.841

The rest of the runs were in the 9.5 range MPH never moved off 74.8-75.8, 60 ft was 2.100 to 2.300
Tires were hard as hell, even after they were hot they just weren't soft and sticky.. sticky but not soft at all

Runs were made with nothing in truck, lining, tire, nothing
back seat was gone
Passengers seat was gone also

The kumho supra's were at 42 in the front and 32 in the rear.

I was going to undo and remove the passengers sway bar link but didn't have a socket... only some wrenches and couldn't get one in there.

What you guys think? Not to shabby for a vert with a pi intake, mac prochamber, cat back and 170K huh? lol

well this is the video on youtube

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rolHdA6wB3Q

The run against the trans am had my best e.t. of 9.397 but hey totally killed me and he did the 1-2-1 shift lol

the second was against a lx 5.0 notch with a b cam i think and a 3.73 gear with 5 speed. I actually got him on e.t. and mph. but he got the reaction time and bairly won. O and notice that I staged with my back tires... the sun was in my eyes and I couldn't see the shitty yellow/white staging bulbs...

Nice :thumb: Some tires will cut alot off your 60'

yea, even when it lauched good the first time i could feel a little spin. So i'm thinking that the best help would be a gear and some tires... but damn it i still can't make my mind up about the tranny.... 5 or auto.... damnit i wish i could make my mind up.

Lol, well, the auto is alot stronger than the lame o five speed. It is also quicker and more consistent. The five speed is just more fun.

see thats the problem... but yea here is pro and con

Auto: Pro's

I live in city
can drag while eating
consistance
stronger
better launch
quicker et's

T45: Pro's
FUNNER
thats it....

still such a hard choise... but i guess i'm gonna end up sticking with a auto... maybe one day i'll buy a 5 speed cobra or something... one day

****See below for my take adding more Pro's to manual other than "funner", which it is.

T45: Pro's
FUNNER
****Adding to the Pro's.....
Better gas mileage
Less loss of rwhp due to tranny - net more hp at the rear wheels
Cheaper to fix/replace if any problems (never have)
Shift into and keep in the gear YOU want the car to be in
Not quicker ETs at lower (closer to stock) power levels
Auto doesn't Launch better without Stall
Manuals are less consistant in the 1/4, but I see that as a (good) challenge
5 gears compared to 4 in the auto means less drop off between gear shifts
manual trannies weigh less than autos

exactly what you mean by that? of course with out work it won't but i'm not having a stock one in there...
also, i got a t45 and was quoted by six different tranny shops over 1200 to rebuild. So with 1200 bucks i can get a stall, cooler, shift kit, b&m hammer shifer, and probably an aluminum drive shaft... so i don't know. I'm probably gonna end up staying with the auto though.
