traction control?

ive noticed that when im shifting, say from first to second, its not one motion; its two. from first, to neutral, then to second. why does it do that? i tried to just go immediatly to second, but it wouldnt work.

nope and really want one after i shifted the 2011 gt500. it was a breeze

yeah i know lol. but i get anal about the weirdest things and id like it if there wasnt that pause in between gears if that makes sense haha

it's possible, there's no way i could know over the internet. I cannot slide my shifter from 1st to 2nd though, it's like it hits a notch between the gears. sucks cause i can't really race the car like that.

your traction control isnt working correctly. if i were to drop the clutch in 1st it wouldnt spin, its almost like the motor cuts out. its kinda annoying.

Need to know more about how much you are spinning, if you can spin them continuous for more then a few seconds then it's not working right

Try it in the rain, floor it and see how long they spin, you can break them loose then your trac cotrol should kick in and you will know when it does

Also is your trac control light on or off?

Lastly if your car has an aftermarket tune a lot of owners turn it off

I can't see it having anything to do with a misfire or your engine running poorly, it's strictly transmission related. Also a short throw shifter just makes the shifting worse.
