Okay so yesterday i was driving and i was scraped or dragged the underside of my car severely, i can see where i scraped my exhaust at the end of my x pipe but some how another somthing is wrong with my tranny and the car either want go into first now or has major loss of power, usually it should easily glide into first its an auto but now it either want go at all or is messed up other than first it seems to be fine drivin and shifting wise up throught the rest of the gears, but ive not visually got under it and inspected it due to it sitting low but idk what i have done any help guys?

Maybe your midpipe is hitting the shifter linkage and its not letting you put into gear soo easily.

When i first did my exhaust the my x-pipe was hittin the linkage and would let me go into gear. I had to do some adjustments.

What exactly is your problem and how was it caused?

i scrapped yesterday real bad, my stang is lowered and i have LT headers with a x pipe, it looks like i scrapped right at the flange on the driver side of the end of the x pipe. I can see the bolt clamp or flange on the x pipe about pulled off, i was in first gear when it happen and now the car want go down into first but second and drive and the rest of the gears are fine, with the shifter it gets real tight when i try to put it in first and acts as if it want go all the way down into it. and thanks for the help im just hoping i havent messed the tranny

Defenately shifter linkage, it doesent let it go move around. Just jack it up and see whats going on under. The linkage is in the driverside of the tranny, and has a little boot to it.
