Trans crossmember differences?

Swapping an T-45 into an previous auto 96 GT, using the stock aode crossmember, had to alongate the holes a little but I am wondering if the crossmember for the manual allows the transmission to sit lower, as it seems to be hitting the body right now or very close. It was a pain to try to make work.

The crossmembers are different. When i did my 4R70W to t-45 swap I got the t-45 crossmember.

Be sure to get one off a 96-97 though. 98's are different
