Trans Leaking... Bushing or Yoke?

Hi Guys, So i just finished a T5 Swap on my car maybe 2 months ago and ive been having a leaking problem out of the rear seal. I used the old AODE shaft, and got the trans out of a 97 3.8L Mustang (same SN95 Input shaft) ANYWAY. so i replaced the real seal on the trans twice and its still leaking. Talked to a friend he said theres a bushing that goes bad if it leaks and has play at the slip yoke. SO i have a tiny bit of play, but no grooves or anyting in the yoke its still leaking, and i dont wanna replace the bushings and the seal again and put in the old slip yoke and it be the problem. turn the new bushing into the old one. So QUESTION i work at a salvage yard and we dont have any T5 mustangs lately. Know of anything else that would work? A chevy with a T5, or maybe even a F150 with a T5? Anyone know anything interchangable. Cuz i dont have the money for a alumn shaft.

OK. I read this 3 times to make sure but, are you using an AODE shaft in a T-5 manual trans?? If I'm not mistaken, the manual's and the auto's require 2 different shaft lengths. I can't remember which is shorter. If the auto is shorter, your shaft yolk is probably not positioned far enough into the trans bushing.

Do a search on this site. There are a few threads here on shaft lengths as I remember.

yep driveshafts are different lengths from what ive heard. should have pulled the one out of the 6 banger maybe it would work.

hmm, alright all look into it, not sure thought because most of the how-to's on the T5 swap said the shafts are the same, execpt the weight being on the AODE shaft
