hmmmm... something tells me that a roots blower, auto, stall, and gear would put a big grin on my face :)

Yeah that was my plan but i'm having the urge to shift again and they built a nice auto X complex near my house and i've love to set my car up to drive a big track on Sundays :p

How do you think a built auto would hold up on a Road Course for a few 20min sessions 4 or 5 days a year? Don't forget i'll throw in a few 1/4 mile passes also. Think it would hold up and still be able to be driven to work 3-4 days a week?

I thought about that, but the way you downshift into the corners to keep it as fast as possible, an auto would slow you down there.
that's one of the reaons I switched my car from slush box to TKO.
What do you think JR?

I thought about that Dal but then figured having a Roots Blower could help get me back into the power really fast. The one major downside i see to having the auto is gonna be not being able to slow down by shifting so i'd be using alot more brakes creating alot more wear on the brakes/rotors.

yea, you'd have more brake wear, and you'd have to brake into the beginning of the corner, which would reduce your time through the whole corner. if you auto X, you really need bigger front brakes, BC your standing on them for the whole race.

I've got the Cobra/Bullitt setup now and after i do a few Auto X runs and like it i would have no problem stepping up to a 4 piston or 6 piston front kit. But i would really have to like it to drop the extra $$$$ on brakes since mine work great on the street as is.

I am still grinding cams on an order basis.

Bob, if roudcourse is the main, regular, every weekend duty, I would not run an auto. But I can set up up for engine braking in 2-4 gear's if it's just a run for fun thing. We can even do paddle shifters as I've discussed with Jeff if you like.
