I love how quickly your ass gets to work lmao

I hit the ground running!! HAHA!

So I spent the majority of this afternoon going to all my local parts stores including Fastlane to find a supercharger belt.
I needed a 77.5" length and no one had it.
After trying 3 different sizes, I finally found a belt at NAPA that fit the bill perfectly!

Added antifreeze and burped the system.
I installed a new water pump and thermostat last night after the 2# crank pulley install.

Car fired up on the 2nd turn of the engine and purred like a kitten.
Luckily me working till 3AM this morning, I managed to get all the bolts tight and everything worked as it should!

Best news is the annoying squeak it had is now gone. Thanks to me pressing in all new bearings into every idler and tensioner pulley along with new belts.

Now I am moving to the rear to start pulling the IRS to install new bushings and spring isolators.
Also........slight bummer.......my tires are hitting in the rear. It appears I am going to need to put spacers on.
More to come.............

Ryan

So here's the clearance issue with the 18-10.5 AFS Cobra wheels and Toyo R888 305-35-18 tires.

That area is just what I have been thinking of modifying when I install the IRS into my '96.
Could you grab a pic of that area from further out? Both an underneath shot and a side shot? I'd like to see where the exhaust is in relation to that bracket and frame rail.

I put in the bushings today and the low profile MM IRS bolts.
Much improved clearance!

I also mounted wheels and lowered it back to ground to check actual clearance.
I have just enough by this.

So quick maiden voyage down the road to the gas station.
I put a couple of gallons in it just to ensure good 93 octane was onboard.
Didn't fill it up cause I have the Lethal return style fuel system (hat, pumps, etc) to install next.

Car felt pretty good. A few squeaks and rattles I need to chase down.
Suspension a little stiff, but I gotta put some miles on it and get the alignment done.

A quick blip of the throttle in 3rd gear and I saw a solid 12# of boost, so that is good.

Got home and found the intercooler pump not working. I pulled the relay and installed a jumper.....worked great.
So I took a nitrous relay I had laying around and installed it for now. Works like a champ.

I noticed one of my Lunar gauges is not working 100%.
It appears some of the lighting is dark. Anybody know how to fix this?

Stuff looks awesome. It's expensive tho
I've used clay bars for years, this Nanoskin is awesome. A little pricey at first, but lasts forever. If you drop it on ground, just rinse off and reuse.
With a clay bar, you drop it, it's garbage.

and are you using the one on the buffer? How well does it work compared to traditional clay, and have you used one of the ones that's on a microfiber towel?

Sorry for all the questions, but I mean, it's just 3x the price of a normal clay kit, but could potentially last much much longer

Yes

As good if not better.

Have you used one of the ones that's on a microfiber towel?
Yes work fine.

You'll never know till you try it yourself. But you can believe if I use it, it must work. LOL
