When it comes to turbo kits, you get what you pay for. That kit comes with a cheap ass chinese knock off turbo that will probably fall apart in a year and the piping will probably rust.

The best turbo kit for the money is from B&G Turbo Kits. They are about $3000 and come with high quality parts.

Have you done research on this kit? Most people that have given it incredible reviews on the boards usually have under 10 posts, so it is probably a :bs: review.

I did a quick search and found these:

Also, if you can't weld, cut, or grind metal you'll need some serious help - - this isn't a bolt-on by any stretch. If you're leaning towards an FMU or boost-a-pump to avoid dropping the tank or replacing injectors, those were very easy compared to the kit install.

I have that system in my car it took 50 hrs to install but I put a boost controller and lm2 in it there is alot of modifying to do they have these clamps that go around the exhaust that leak bad ,so I put v band clamps on, also the exhaust hangs low I modified it but still not right I will have to make my own for it, my motor is stock at 6.5 psi the motor made 343hp at the rear wheels with a really bad clutch we tried to turn the boost up to 10 psi but I ran out of fuel pump I would probably stick with the sc and just build the motor up alittle it would probably save some $ and alot of aggravation

- 50 Hours to install
- sh1tty clamps that leak
- Had to invest in new clamps
- had to modify the exhaust because the kit makes it hang to low, now has to make his own
- He would recommend staying with a supercharger over the boost brothers kit.

I remember good turbo kits being between 3 and 5 Gnos.

EASILY.

Sh1t I remember Pro Turbo Kits, HP, Hellion, Turbo Technology, Cartech etc were all minimum ~$4000.

Boost Brothers arent that bad. Couple local guys have them and installed them in a day or two at the most, its not the hard. Guy made 480 on 6 pounds on a basically stock longblock, had a crane cam and old style trickflow heads.

superchargers are easier to install, take up less room, give off less heat among other things...

those kits are cheap and the turbos are cheap. the turbos are made in china. if you want something decent powermaster turbos are ok and made in brasil. i personally wouldn't own one but i know people with them and so far they are happy. precision and garret are the best and you get what you pay for. same typically goes for the hot / cold piping and especially the intercooler.

IMHO I would save up the extra dough and get a "real" turbo kit. The boost brothers turbo is very low quality and I highly doubt it will last For more than a year. There is a guy on this forum that installed the kit svt94turbo somewhere along that name (white cobra). He has already looked into what kind of turbo he will put in when his goes. After many hits and misses (many misses) I've learned to save my money for good quality parts, a lot of money gone down the drain on iffy stuff.

Yeah. I have installed the boost brothers kit on my 94 SVT. It is not as easy as a "bolt on" kit. "bolt on" makes it sound like a simple air intake. Which its not. and i half expected that going into it. I know the turbo is prolly a knock off chinese one but once again i went into it thinking to replace it when it does eventually go out. I am also going to ceramic coat all the turbo manifolds and cross-over pipe to help with life. For the money i paid i am very happy with my kit so far. Just expect to spend money on random other stuff for the install.

And i did only have ten posts or less when i got on this forum and was talking about it. so i can understand the members here wanting a member with more posts talking highly of this kit to believe it but thus far I have ran boost on my car for a decent price i could afford. and am happy with it. But like i said i am doing stuff to improve on the kit. But am still nowhere near the 4 g's for other kit that i couldnt afford.

As for the 720HP. Im sure its possible. But that is prolly at the 26 PSI they say the turbo will make. SO unless you get a better and stronger than stock block and build it with forged internals and all that. However the stock block and internals would not be able the handle that amount of boost at all.

And yes most of the mustangs i seedo go S/C. But i am partial to turbos myself

what kind of numbers are putting down and on what psi. are you running the stock shortblock wich i plan on doing other than new head gaskets and a set of arp studs. do you think the stock motor will hold up to 10 or 12 psi with proper tuning
