I have been trying to get this trans put back in my car all day and its still not in. I put in the zoom twin disc this morning and then tried getting the transmission in the car and had nothing but bad luck. Clutch was lined up correctly with alignment tool and then the rear disc had slipped out of alignment so it all came apart again to realign it. then started it over again and still the trans will not go in. anyone else have problems putting in a twin disc? splines are 26t on the trans and discs so theye are correct, nothing obstructing its path in any way thats visible.

The only way I could get mine in was to have someone actuate the clutch fork with a prybar whilst the input shaft was being pushed through both clutch discs. I don't think I could ever get it in by myself.

Check your throwout bearing, I had one that wouldnt slide onto the input shaft sleeve worth a damn, it would get all crooked and bind up. That is my only thought at the moment.

The twin disc's basket doesn't line the plates up for you? What brand is it?

Another thing, with the McLeod twin disc that I was using, I had to trim the main bearing retainer down to clear the pressure plate. It was too long and would interfere with the clutch.
