True story, my senior year in HS, I had a friend who was a huge stoner, brilliant, smart, and so stupid all rolled up into one. Well, we are all sitting in class, and he gets called to the office, well he and his bud, no pun intended, were sitting out in the car doing what stoners do before school, and they got out and came inside and started their day, well 2 period, I could see the parking lot from the room and my desk. I see him and the principle, outside and his car is fucking running and the keys are locked inside. So off they go and call his Dad to come unlock it. lol, I don't think he drove for a while, lol. Imagine how that car smelled inside too? lol. it was too funny.

My friend has a spare in a magnetic box stuck way up behind her rear bumper. Can't see it, have to feel for it. She uses it all the time lol

My truck's ignition lets me pull the key out. I just yank it out, and let it run. Lock the doors, no biggie. Especially in the morning if I want it to warm up.

My truck I never lock, but my Mustang I did actually lock the keys in it while running before.

I hadn't realized the remote keyless entry WILL NOT WORK if the key is in the ignition, and in the "ON" position... All of my previous vehicles with keyless didn't have this issue. I start the car up, take the remote off the ring, lock the doors, and go inside. Twenty minutes later, I'm out there, trying to figure out why my doors won't unlock.

To get in, I wound up popping the hood (there's a secret way to open *most* SN-95 hoods from the outside), disconnecting the battery and alternator to kill the engine while I tried to figure out what to do, then after a bunch of fiddling and getting irritated, I tapped the battery cable on and off a few times and the doors unlocked on their own!

Was quite a relief, but I still felt like a complete idiot. Hooked up all the connections after I opened the door and retrieved my key, and away I went.

grab a towel, put it around a flathead screwdriver, pry the top-back window out, pull on the window, and reach with the antenna to press the un-lock button. Not saying i break into cars, but ive been in your situation before.
