Ok idk how i just noticed... but i just noticed i don't have the same piece pictured that a lot of people have....i noticed that most people have the.. i guess "flared piece"? and the 2 i noticed that had mine were 94's. and i know the car never had em cause im the second owner and the first was my father. Im the only one who washed the car day one of him owning it so i know the car. Is this piece like the under bumper radiator rubber piece thing and put on random cars or a visual mod swapped from newer years?

They were put on just the 94's and 95's... or maybe it was just the 94's? There's no reason for the flared ones except to prevent rocks from hitting everything behind them. No structural support etc.

well i figured it was just a cosmetic piece,I actually like mine better but mine's a 95 and didnt come with it, so i was just wondering if it's just a every other mustang doesnt get one or what

It was like that just for 94 but I guess it could have carried over into the early 95s as well.

notice the one on the green car is flat and mine flips up by the tire.

it was a change that was supposed to happen on the 95 model year but there are more then a few 95s with the old style that came that way. I imagine that they used the old style until they didn't have anymore and then swapped to the new ones.

Now have a manual for a 96 in a 95 has to be something someone threw in as the change in the motor would make for some bad info.

For my car's makeover, I bought silver 98 skirts. I had them use my stock 1st parts for them though. Just 1 more things that shows mine has the 5.0.

My 1994 GT build date 6/94 has the flat ones, and my 1995 GT build date 8/94 has the flat ones as well.. Must have been a late switch.

i have heard from members on another forum that the switch from flat skirts were made on cars made around November on 95 model year cars
