My car came with a set of underdrive pulleys and I didnt really have any problems until recently, all my accessories and stuff works fine, but I recently moved to a place where its hotter during the summer than where I was at before, im curious if I can put the stock water pump pulley back on, running the same belt or is a different one needed? My car gets way warmer out here, and thats my only logical reasoning.

swapping one you will probably be fine. There are a few different ways to wrap the belt and there was a display just posted that showd them all. ONly one way to know for sure.

Depending on how tight your belt is, it may be OK. Give it a shot. Does it only get hot at idle? I'd probably look at a few other things 1st.

i second that. Double check your major cooling components to make sure they are functioning properly (theremostat, radiator, etc...). You can throw the factory pulley on and see if it makes a difference and if that belt is to short you can run a long piece of string and get the measurement then run to you local parts house and they will be able to find one down to the nearest 1/8th inch.

It gets hot when im driving it decently hard. Its not a idle hot condition, and most times its not even overheating, its at like the M or A which is way hotter than I like. And its been leaking too when it does this, like today it got a lil warm and started leaking but I cant find the leak.. time to rent a tester.

i think you could put the stock pump back in and the belt might be fine. worst case is you get a longer belt right. what 20 bucks for a belt and the cost of a wp gasket
I dont think I have to replace my gasket.. its just four bolts on the snout.

Saying i live in a warm climate is a huge understatement, summer months often do not go below 100 degrees. I have a set of steeda pulleys on my car and have no problems with my cooling, recently i had an issue but that was due to a faulty electrical plug for my fan. I would suggest checking all possible circumstances before replacing something that may not need to be replaced.

if its getting hot and then leaking shut down your fans run it till it gets to that specific temp you stated and look for the leak. just have to bounce back and forth to look at the gauge. i had to do the same thing on my 3.1 chevy car

You realize that the stock temp gauge is almost useless right? My car was having temp issues while on the dyno. The tuner showed me that the motor was hot enough that the ECU was pulling timing out from it to try and cool the motor, the stock gauge never got above "M" in normal even though it was over heating. I installed aftermarket gauges shortly after so I could see what is actually going on there. The stock gauges are dumbed down by the ecu a lot...

Ok yes, I know that, but I also know my car normally runs at O in normal, thats all Im saying, idk what the actual temp is, but I dont have gauges yet...but I wouldnt be surprised if it was at that point.
