New victor jr intake manifold for my turbo 2vgonna match up pretty well. Can't wait to install this setup needed this since my new built engine and the stock Manifold cfm dies off around 5200 rpm

Yup! I can see why power gets robbed with that dorman intake! The eddy will allow whatever you put through it!

I use to mod the intake for stock fuel rails to bolt on. Paying another $200+ for the proper rails and hardware didnt sit with me.

I just went through that set up
Price tage about 862 bucks complete
But I changed out the throttle body with it
To me I feel the difference in the lower end
I installed it on a 98 gt mustang with automatic transmission with shift kit 373 gears and super 44 flows with no cats
I need a track to tell you what it runs
Unfortunately our track is shut down because of cough and sniffles
Also these are none pi heads

Agreed its been crazy this intake build honestly but I am pretty good at fab work but once this is done and tune I beliebe thats it for the season our tracks are open but reserved so basically u have to pay in advance to go on test n tune night

Honestly tho, i couldnt see a boosted intake of any type being a restriction at such low rpm. But high enough rpm for valve spring problems under boost.

Another thought and would be a cheap process, the lashers probably need to be bled out. They hold old oil, changing their character. Take'em out, heat them up, and squeeze work them clean. Do a good synthetic 5w-20 oil change while youre at.

My initial thought to this response is, valves are hanging open. Common problem with boost pressing on the valve, essentially reducing seating pressures.

Yup. Ive seen fully built engines produce 500hp when their purpose was 700hp. Threw a ton of money at it trying to figure it out. Finally, by shear luck, noticed valves not seating, after 3 tare downs(we learned alot from that truck)not noticing the valve situation...lashers were the problem. We shimmed check the valve to seat opening and it was .020" ....every valve.

Why did it run? ....normal operations will force the valves closed, but at the wrong time.

Swapped out the lashers, dyno'd 700rwhp.

Since every part was new, we came to the conclusion it was his break in oil used. It was specific high dollar break in oil from a big reputable name i will not disclose. And since my buddy buys nothing but the best due to his disposable cash flow, break in oil was the culprit.

Now dont think the use of break in oil are the only reason lashers goof up. Overdue oil changes, high milage, and heavier oil weights also cause this.

Just some ideas to crunch on. I want you to be as successful as you can be with your build.

Rau03mach,
yeah i'm so surprised you say with that eddy intake you have the low end power. Everything says short runners are for top end power and low end suffers. I really want to use that intake, but we'll see when i get cams figured out what i end up doing. Supposedly the stock pi intake is good to the 600 hp range? I really despise plastic, but yeah even the coyotes new plastic intake is the shit.

I see 600 how 2v with plastic intake but then they fail and I'm not interested in pushing a part to the max just to say I have 600hp so why in my opinion. So the eddy has shown gains from 30 to 80 when matched right and tune is done right.

It kinda surprised me as well
I do feel like the low end picked up some
Once I get to an open track I'll test more
I'm still test driving and put it through hell on take off
Well see further down the line
And I may tune it soon

Another thing to keep in mind with that adaptor plate and that new throttle body it actually raised about an inch off that intake
