upgrading from gt rear brakes to cobra rear brakes

is it worth doing this? those of you that have done it or just have a cobra, does changing the rear brakes help that much? I already have cobra brakes up front, and i dont like the fact that the rear gt brakes are not vented.

unless you road race the venting will not do much for you. Your front breaks are 2/3 your stopping power so going bigger in the rear will not hurt but will not gain you a whole lot either.

When it comes to brakes. Bigger is always better. In my opinion anyways.

Don't waste your time. For all that is involved in going from GT to Cobra rear brakes, it is pointless. The only way i would say yes to doing it is if you already have the rear apart(Since you have to pull the axles to change the brake brackets) and you're getting a good deal on the brakes.

I road race my car and still run stock rear brakes, other then the rotors being blue, I haven't noticed any problem with them. I've never run cobra brakes so I can't comment on weather or not they would make a difference.

I'm running stock rear brakes, although lately I've been thinking about putting in a race pad in the back. So far I've been running just regular HPS pads.

there is minimal increase in stopping power, but there is a large increase in fade resistance and pedal feel when open tracking.
