Upper Plenum/EGR Wires (red wire or green wire)

After finally getting my bottom end worked on (hole the size of a golf ball in piston #4, collant in oil, oil in coolant, busted PCV hose) and everything back up and running. There's one thing that i totally forgot uppon putting the upper intake and EGR back on, I forgot which wire goes where. Figured it out. Wires were crossed. When I connected them properly, and ran the motor, cloud of smoke was coming out the back for about 30 secs then no more smoke. Whatever that was.
