Found one localy, gonna check it out today. It's an off road X, standard shorty header, very low miles, owner went to a bigger exhaust.

Anyone have info on fit and quality? Seems to be a cheap (costwise) one compared to the competition. I just need one that fits right, my current one is made for a Fox and the driver side pipe rubs on the footwell. My shoe bottom actualy melts to the floorboard after about 10 minutes of driving, and the headers leak at the collector because it does not seem to line up correctly.

mine didn't fit correctly. the shop had to cut part of my stock midpipe and weld it to the new x-pipe to get it to fit.

other that that, i like mine.

I had catted x, it fit decent but messed up the alignment of my cat back. Exhuast tips were fubar'd. Got rid it for matching midpipe for the catback and all is well.

Well it cant be any worse than the bbk x pipe I had or the bbk h pipe I have now. They both fit like crap.

Well, I got it.

Funny story, dude was a little ways out of town in the mountains. Older neighbohood, a lot of old cars, probably not running. Car parts all over the place.

In the garage sat the cleanest, nicest, Saleen S351 I've ever seen. It was a 95, looked like competition orange with black Saleen trim. My jaw dropped, probably drooling a little. I was amazed with this car, in/out very clean and nice. The guy built it from the ground up pretty much, that's what the X came from. He upgraded to a 3" system. It had a built 351, S-trim, GT40 intake, aluminum heads (??brand), F-cam, 1.7RR, and a 200 shot. Said he was setup for 7-8psi, going to get a tune next week. He's thinking 750 to the wheels?!?!?

I have one, complete shit. fitment was a major issues......

Yep. There is a UPR x on this '96 GT i just picked up. I helped my buddy install it when it was his, hung super low and still does. It would hit the trans cross member every now and then. But before i knew what it was hitting the other day i adjusted the SLP catback thinking it would solve the knock. Now its way worse and pretty much rests up against the cross member.

I would not recommend.

Had one on my 4.6

leaked where it met the header ....... any exhuast shop can make it work ...if your installing yourself you will need some persuasion with UPR products
