Ok im not asking if the trans will fit when i do the swap. I know its a little weaker but its only gotta hold me over until i afford a t56. My question is will a v6 clutch work. Only reason i ask is bc i have a brand new clutch in the box for my car and if itll work just for now id rather put the money elsewhere since the t5 isn't gonna stay long (hopefully) and i dont wanna buy another new clutch if i dont have to.

acutally, u can use a v6 clutch only if u use the v6 flywheel aswell. I've heard horror stories about the bell housing not fitting right and not engaging the starter. Id go just for a 5.0 clutch and flywheel with matching 5.0 bell so then u can use ur v6 t5.

I can't say anything about the clutch/flywheel becuase I don't know but I do know the trans will work/fit just fine. I ran/still running a v6 trans in mine for years now and it hasn't blown up.

I've learned to at least attempt to do it right because ya never know when your plans will fall into place.
