Switch, the prep on the valve covers was sub-par IMHO. Even with rattle-can, they should be smoother than that. I've powdercoated a bunch of stuf, and even with powder that doesn't lay down super "flat" - it should still have less orange peel than that.

How did you prep them? Did you sand at all first?

you have to pull the motor to get 2v heads off and i wouldnt "pull it" i would drop it out the bottom with the k member and trans still attached...

That would be great to do, if you can get the car 3 feet into the air or do like I did and cut the radiator support out. But I don't think you want to do that. There are bolt holes in the heads that you can use to pull the engine out with.

I was going to get my Mach1 wheels powder coated until I found out is was going to cost $125 per wheel.

Talk to Paul he does powder coating. From what I have seen from his powder coating mayhem, he does good work.
