So after the cams my car has developed a squeak or chirp in the valvetrain I believe. It's been hard to isolate but I'm 100% sure it's not the belt. It happens on the cold start and when throttle is blipped but I can't hear it any other time. Car runs fine minus the tuning work lol. After removing the cover like 3 times there are no metal shavings in the head, oil was also clean and free of metal. I'm pretty sure it's in the top end.

Theories:
1. Bad lash adjuster
2. Bad roller follower
3. Cam caps must be clearance for the new bigger lobes (I did this. Stuck a .010 feeler gauge in there like MHS says to)
4. Valve spring maybe?

Any other suggestions

Thats a strange noise for cam and valve train. Mechanical as it all is, i wouldnt think it squeak at cold start and then go away. I think it would squeak and continue to damage. But you say it all looks good. So strange.

Possibly a bad follower? That would be my guess. Especially if higher rate springs were installed. Not a common problem but they have been known to fail.
