When its a U joint issue it will usually vibrate at specific RPM such as from 2,500-4,000 for example and anytime out of that range it will smooth out. So what I'm asking is does it do it at a specific RPM range? If so then its probably your U joints. Thats exaxctly the symptoms mine had when the U joints whent bad on my 95 GT. Was the perfect time to upgrade to an Aluminum DS

U-joints, center bearing(if its a 2 piece ds) maybe a stretch but how's the wear on your tires?

Ok it vibrates under a load at hwy speeds correct? How long has it been since you've rotated and balanced your tires? Reason I say is because besides everything else stated sounds like you just need to rotate and balance your wheels miss.

Hope that helps.

I just had this issue with mine... I had two issues...
Had a harmonic balancer that was starting to separate and after I installed a SFI that wont do that again, I noticed that around 60 mph i had a vibration while on the gas in the 60 mph range. Ran it up to 110 mph and it was HORRIBLE.... Then the vibration moved after a few days... it became a decelaration vibration only... and it didnt go away with clutch engaged or not so i knew it wasnt a throw out bearing....

Then I did the smart thing and jacked up the back end to check out my u-joints... yeah they were bad and I changed them out. Took about an hour and now we are back to smooth cruising... cheap and easy fix!

Hope this helps honey!!!

seriously get your driveshaft checked, wheels balanced, and ensure lug nuts are tight.

pull your shaft (bow chika wow wow) and have it balanced. one of the counterbalance weights may have fallen off.

bad.

it spins at a gajillion RMPs. if its a few ounces off that gets amplified. Look at how small the weights on your wheels are, same concept. that small of an off-set can make a difference ....

I have a the same problem with mine following a tranny rebuild. I replaced the trans mount. no help. then replaced the u-joints on my alumnium DS. No help. I also removed the tranny again and changed the pilot bearing again. no help. What made it better was clocking the DS at the axel 90* at a time till I found a sweet spot. I still have the vibs but not till I get to 85mph.. It might also be my engine mounts too causing the DS misalignment.

take your driveshafts in for balance people. theyll check the u joints, ensure its not bent, and balance it all for like 45.00.... plus they even painted mine (which pissed me off because it is aluminum....)
