vortec bypass valve upgrade

I am running 12psi with my vortech s-trim on my 94 gt and I am looking for some ideas on upgrading the stock bypass valve without having to buy a $300 dollar one from vortech. Thats the Bypass I was running and it works great. (so long as you choose the correct spring) At 600+rw and 16lbs it held up nicely.
