Vortech is on! DYNO VIDEO ADDED!!!

As some of you already know, many did not, I was in the process of swapping from procharger to vortech and finally got everything together and threw it on friday night.

I was up to 3am but I got it done, runs great, blower has a faint whistle, very smooth.

Its a vortech v2 s trim.

I bought the bracket assembly, pulley and drain line from superchargers online.

I reused my procharger intercooler, piping, bypass valve, and feed line.

Im getting my oval kn filter that I will be running right on the end of the blower tommarow so hopefully ill be making a full 10-11 psi like I was before.


Im running a 3.125 pulley

seems like the vortech wants to pull harder up top than the procharger did

Noice. What made you change?

Procharger exploded, sent it away to retard aka Todd @ superchargerrebuilds.com, got it back and it blew up the next day.

Decided it was time for a newer blower and these vortechs are supposed to be more efficient and reliable so I figured it was worth the extra money to get a reliable system.

Umm, I believe I had it on the car for a while...Im pretty sure it was close to a year and a half before I ever took it off, it was a used head unit though.

It was fine, leaked a bit of oil but never gave me any problems untill I sent it to supercharger rebuilds .com guy.

I actually sent it to him for seals, got it back and within a month it exploded but at the time I didnt think it was his fault even though it could have been looking back at how that whole transaction went.

I sent it back to him to have it rebuilt to have the bearings fail in one day again...so it could have very easily been his fault the first time...my opinion, the ****** doesnt know what he is doin with prochargers atleast, cant speak about vortechs but Ive heard a lot of people getting thier shit done by him and having the bearings fail very fast so you live and you learn, never send your shit to get rebuilt by him.

Thanks, I sure hope so.

It pulls pretty damn hard and im not even making "full" boost yet since my intake is restrictive as hell right now.

Cant wait to see how it feels on 10 psi.

Does your blower whistle make more noise in the cold?....

Im prtty sure when I first put it on you could barely hear it but on these colder mornings it whistles pretty loud, enough for me to hear it while im sitting in my car.
