Ok, after looking into it, I'm thinking that a entry level supercharger would be alot better bang for the buck upgrade over my original H/C/I plans. I'm thinking that it would feel half a$$ed if I don't build the bottom end of the motor when I do the top. So now i'm leaning towards a supercharger. I originally wanted a kenne bell, but lots of people seem to think that they are alot better on a 4.6 than a 5.0
I'm also not crazy about the constant wine that centrifugal blowers make, but I think that if I warm myself up to it with a Vortech SQ unit, than maybe i will like them more. I like the idea of an intercooled procharger kit, but i'm not up for spending 5k just yet. So to make a long story short, I'm planning on running a Vortech SQ kit with a new intake manifold, and run that untill it kills the motor or i have enough money to build my forged 331 stroker motor and supercharge the hell out of that.

Do you guys know of anything extra that i should do to my motor to make it work with the blower better. I'm thinking 30 lb injectors and mass air, but otherwise i should be pretty good with the mods that i have.
Will i definitely need a tune, or should a 6-8 psi kit work pretty well with the stock computer?

if you are planning on buying a brand new kit some of them come with injectors already provided
in the kit. 30 lbs sounds a tad small to me, 42 might be a better injector for your needs.
and i would highly recommend a tune after you slap the blower on there to maximize power and
driveability.

Most kits come with 42lb injectors and a new MAF and all
Some come with tunes some don't
But get a tune RIGHT after you put it on
I mean drive to the shop at 0 boost and like don't get on it at all and then get them to dyno tune it.

I agree.
From a personal experience learn the car first before you go crazy. The RMP's are going to climb extremely fast above 3k you want to stay off the rev limiter cause if you don't say bye bye to your pistons.

do any companies have a chip pre-made for a supercharger on a stock engine. I called my local speed shop, and he said to plan on $700 for a dyno tune.

OK i just got done doing this and actually had to sell my motor for school purposes. You could get a used kit for around 1500-2k depending on what you can find.

Fuel system you need atleast a 255 in tank with 42lb injectors and 80mm mass air. Cause if you use 30s you will run out of fuel if you decide to up your psi so why buy twice when you could buy only once.

Other mods that i think you should consider is def an intake of some sort. You can get a cobra or trickflow for around $275-$350 it will help you more than you think and a 70-75mm tb.

A tune is a must IMO if you want the car to run without any worries of it especially with a stock bottom end but that is my opinion and a dyno tune is the most accurate tune out there depending on who is tuning it will decide how good the tune is, but the curves on the sheet dont lie on how your car is running. But it will cost a pretty penny.

The supercharger first is a good move if you are building another motor with a good block and you could always throw the s/c on the new block.

what do you guys think of the procharger P1SC intercooled kit on the 94-95 stangs? I see a lot of reviews about the prochargers having leaking head units. I'm also not crazy about the 1 year warranty opposed to the vortech's 3 year. Will you really make much more power with the procharger kits? Whats the best setup?

Get a dyno tune, even look into anderson ford motorsport. upgrade the radiator. you may have to upgrade your ignition youll find that out on the dyno when you watch the graph and see if it starts to studder when you start climbing the rpms. dont use the FMU that comes with the kit, get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator instead. 42lb injectors will give you plenty of room to grow.
