So I am thinking about taking out a 5,000 loan and getting some parts.

Vortech SQ Trim S/C kit is the big thing. I was wondering where people say to get them from. I've found some but lowest I've found is $3,699.... that's pricey....

Links?

Just an FYI, MPH doesnt advertise that they do a 96-98 mongoose kit because they dont have any tunes to send you, but they do do one. thats what i got, and i believe i spent about $3600, but that also included their boost pipe which i believe runs about $250??

See I though Vortechs were like 2,300 for a kit because everyone says they are cheaper than Prochargers but they seem to be around the same prices....

Thats a tuner kit, doesn't include tune/injectors/fuel pump etc....just the basics.
Its going to run $3500+ for a complete kit.

Call them up and see if you can swap for 42's and a lightning MAF. That's all I ran to 500 rwhp, it was holding me back from making more power though, my bottom end would have sneezed at 700.

Well the Velocity kit comes with a SCT tune/tuner so I can just tune the injectors with less pressure and run them as a 42lb so i will be good. the MAF I think I will stick with and just see what happens ahha.

You can of course tune the 60's, it will already have a canned tune for them

I found one for like 2,400 but i'm not sure if I can get it or not. The site didn't have it on there but on corral.net he posted saying he had them for our motors....

i've seen some where they would do deals for site members...

one question though guys, with a tuner kit... what all comes with them? everything but the pump, injectors, and maf right? would it be cheaper to buy the tuner kit and piece the rest together?
