i have a 94 V6 manual trans coup. it has 89K miles on it, and lightly modded. K&N CAI, BBK throttle body, dual exaust h-pipe adaptor with magnaflow cat backs. sitting in my garage waiting to be installed is an 8.8 rear with 3.73's and GT front brakes, and a split port intake is on the horizon.

my car is OBD1, and i'm finding that i'm limited on chips and tuners. can someone help me out? has anyone here encountered a similar problem?

i found this on americanmuscle.com-> http://www.americanmuscle.com/sct-4-bank-computer-chip.html will this work for me? or should i look for something else?

Are you sure it's OBD1?

Mine's OBD-II and I have a 94 Coupe. Mines an auto, but I don't see how that would affect anything.

I went to VMPtuning.com and bought the SCT X-Cal 2. It's like $400 but it's worth every penny in my opinion.

Anyways, the reason I tell you this is because it uses OBD-II. The plug in is right below the steering wheel. It's 12:20 and freezing cold out right now so I can't go out and get a picture for you. But if you can go to your car, look for a picture of the X-Cal 2's plug in to get an idea of what to look for and then look in your car under the steering wheel. Look above the floor vent. You should find it pretty easily.

Hopefully that can help you at least a little. If not, I can take a picture tomorrow late afternoon for you.

Justin at VMP can get that himself if you order from them.

I asked him about it and he said to just order it. He knows what they are.

I don't want to steal members from here, but you should check out 3.8mustang.com and v6power.net. This site is great and all, but those two places are great for V6 owners.

oh, don't worry, i'm on those forums too. sometime though, the smaller forums tend to have friendlier people. the big forums ppl just go "try google." like that wasn't the first thing i tried.

just an FYI... Ford but OBD2 on their 94 and 95 V6 mustangs, however they weren't on the GT's until 96. go figure.
