So i just had my rear brakes done by my neighbor and he changed both sides of rotor and installed a new caliper bracket. Seems legit, but my car is still making that screeching noise and i pinpointed it the front.

I had my front brakes done at a shop about 3 months ago. I just removed my front tire and noticed i have no brake pad what so ever on the rear of my front rotor. I mean i dont a PAD at all.. So im guessing he left the old brake pad on and its down to nothing or it fell off. Is this normal or should it be 2 brakes per side like the rear?

THERE IS NO WAY for my front inner brakes to be 100% gone and my outter front pads to be 90% used.

Was a ripped off or is there only 1 brake on the front.

probably have bad rotors up front..that will cause them to wear unevenly...rub your finger on that side of the rotor if it doesn't feel smooth then thats your problem.

What does the front setup consist of? I would only need new rotors, pads and calipers right?

Always seems to me like the inner pads wear out faster than the outside ones. Check the floating pins though, one of mine froze and when that happens only the inner pad wears...

Ya, my back slide thingie was frozen so i had to buy a new bracket. We manage to save one caliper bracket with a torch+hammer+wd40 but that took alot time.

Thanks guys =] I thought i got ripped off for a second. Im guessing its the floating pins now also since i witness the rears being stuck last week,

i have a set of calipers and pads...no rotors sorry forgot i sold those to someone else...but if your piston stuck on your caliper..which if the pad is missing i would say had to have happend if your pad isn't there at all and the piston is pushing into the caliper.

there is a piston that was hyper extended on my car compared to a normal caliper piston that i was able to get turned back in.

There called Slide Pins make sure you put some Anti Seeze on them. How easily did your pistons go back in your calipers ???

yes you got ripped off

Hehe, i dont think so anymore, but i know he knew the slide pin was rusted shut and wasnt moving. If my back slide pins was rused on both sides of the car, than the front had to be also and he shouldve told me i needed new brackets. :angry4:
